Addition of Vectors
Properties of Vector Addition :
1. Commutative Property :
For any two vectors $\vec{a}$ and $\vec{b}$,
$\vec{a} + \vec{b} =\vec{b} + \vec{a}$
2. Associative Property :
For any three vectors $\vec{a}$, $\vec{b}$ and $\vec{c}$,
$\left(\vec{a} + \vec{b} \right) +\vec {c} = \vec {a} +\left(\vec{b} + \vec{c}
\right)$
3. Distributive Property :
$ m \vec{a} + m \vec{b} = m \left(\vec{a} + \vec{b} \right) $
Where, m is a scalar quantity.
