Division Tricks || Dividing any number by 125

Instead of dividing by 125, it is more easy to multiply first by 8 and then divide the result by 1000.(i.e 8/1000=1/125)

STEP 1: Multiply the given number by 8.

STEP 2: Insert the decimal point before the 100's place (i.e Divided by 1000)

Lets see some examples:

Example 1: Find out 5/125.

STEP 1: 5 X 8 = 40

STEP 2: 0.040 (i.e 40/1000)

Example 2: Find out 64/125.

STEP 1: 64 X 8 = 512

STEP 2: 0.512 (i.e 512/1000)

Example 3: Find out 222/125.

STEP 1: 222 X 8 = 1776

STEP 2: 1.176 (i.e 1776/1000)

Example 4: Find out 684/125.

STEP 1: 684 X 8 = 5472

STEP 2: 5.472 (i.e 5472/1000)
